Today, we are going to be highlighting a specific area of our platform that can make but new business renewals easier. We call it Ask Insured.
Ask Insured is a straightforward solution designed to save you time when collecting information. Allowing you to send forms and questionnaires to the insured easily through email. Once the questionnaire is filled out, you’ll be notified via email, complete with all the insured’s information, for a quick transfer into your system. In this blog, we will be going over how to get started with this incredible feature, as well as how you can customize it to fit your business needs.
Getting Started
This is a blank database with zero data brought in yet, you can begin inputting information by going through a new business workflow. So by clicking Create new insured, you can get started.
Sometimes when entering prospect details, there aren't a lot of details to go off of. In this example, we know it’s a food truck, the name of the business, where it’s located, and that’s it. So, based off what information we have, an insured is going to be created.
This then brings up their actual profile, with no policies or quotes currently started. So let’s request a new quote now by clicking Request new quote.
It’s going to ask for some additional information, for this example we are going to choose a worker’s comp policy. However, we still don't know a lot of this information, so from here we will click Create request.
On this page, we have all the details separated out into quite a few tabs. Similar to a lot of new business scenarios, this is where you would need to gather each required section of information manually. That's when we click Ask Insured.
On this first page, we'll fill out where the information request is going to be sent to. When we're done, we'll click Next.
Here is the actual questionnaire itself. We’re going to go through quite a few options here and really narrow down the particular question sets that we want. Even getting as specific as the questions themselves.
So in this situation, you will need to choose exactly the questions you want to send in each of the presented rows. That will then be sent to the Insured for them to fill out the rest of the required information, so they know exactly what to provide you in order to have a smooth, frictionless experience. Not to mention, regardless of whether it's a self-sufficient insured or one that requires a bit of hand-holding, this entire service has been designed with user-friendliness in mind. So you can get fully completed fields of data in a fraction of the time.

So there we have it. From the very little information we were able to gather on the front end, we've used Ask Insured to gather specific required data with ease. Not to mention, all of it will immediately be available within Appulate once the insured fills everything out.
